Once someone becomes Enlisted into the US Navy/ US Marines, they assume the duty of recruiting civilians. All personnel, ranked E1 SR/Pvt to O2 LTJG/ 1st Lt, are REQUIRED to fulfill this duty. The procedure is as follows:
- Only personnel sitting in the front row of the headquarters may recruit civilians, except in the rare event that there are NO personnel in the front. In this case, an officer may recruit from the VIP section, though it is frowned upon and recommended they fill the front.
- Always be sure to address the potential recruit by their full Habbo name, otherwise they may not realize you're speaking to them.
- While in the front row, keep an eye out for civilians who enter the room. When someone comes enters, greet them and ask them to come in. An example would be: "Welcome to the DEPTNAV, (civilians name)! Please come inside."
- Once you have gotten their attention, politely instruct them to have a seat in the lobby. You are NOT to recruit civilians who have not yet been seated. If they can't figure out how to sit, they will not be joining.
- Once the civillian has entered, the door greeter will be responsible for assisting in getting the civillian to the proper side. Once they are seated, get them into their proper motto which will be [US Navy] or [US Marines]. Once they have done so, check to ensure that their motto is 100% correct. If it is not, help them fix it. Do not spend more than 10 minutes per civilian. If they have not figured it out by then, inform an officer that they're un-recruitable and move onto the next civilian.
- If their homepage is invisible, instruct them to make it visible. If they refuse, they are un-recruitable.
- Check their Habbo creation date. Be warned that brand new accounts may be viral, but will still be allowed to join.
- Ask them to join the supporters badge.
Your recruit is now ready to enter the members area! Instruct them to approach the gate, and the sentry will put them in the training area. Tell them that we will aim to have them trained within 15 minutes.
Refusal to recruit civilians without sufficient reason may be punishable by either a dishonorable discharge/demotion/suspension, or even removal from your current rating/position. This applies to everyone. This is considered to be abandonment of your duties, and failure to follow an executive order issued by the CNO.
